Reactive Rover Class
Length: 5 weeks
Dates/Times: Saturdays and Sundays
Reactive Rover classes are designed for dogs who are reactive on leash towards other dogs or people. They are designed for dogs who need opportunities to learn and/or practice desired behaviors in a structured setting. This class will help you teach your dog alternate behaviors to reactivity, and give you skills to navigate “real life" scenarios. Limit 3 teams per class.
**Is your dog a good candidate for a Reactive Rover class?**
The majority of participants in our Reactive Rover classes have built a foundation of skills through private in home training first, and have been promoted into a group class to continue their training around higher levels of distractions/real life scenarios. Please check the list below to see if your dog qualifies:
– dog can remain under threshold (notices a trigger but does not react) at 30ft or less
– dog has a foundation of training skills including eye contact, attention cue, and leash skills
– owner is familiar with positive reinforcement based techniques
We offer a variety of services that address leash reactivity, and we’d love to help – please contact us so we can discuss the service that best fits your needs.
Length: 5, one hour classes
Cost: $250 per team
Team Training classes are semi-private lessons for owner/dog teams of 2. Classes are held at various public locations to build behaviors around “real life" distractions. This is a great option for dogs who need to learn specific skills such as preparing for their CGC test or for dogs who need additional space from other dogs/people and cannot be in a traditional group class.
Drop In Classes are monthly classes that existing clients can join when their schedule allows. These are a great way to continue your dog’s training, socialization, and manners in public. These classes vary in dates/times, but are often held on weekends and in various venues throughout San Diego. If you are an existing client and would like to join the email list to receive the monthly schedule, please contact us!
